Quick instruction on how to prepare the TinyPlayer without using an eprommer. These instructions are for VS1000 developer board. 1) Completely power-off the board 2) Connect small headphones to the board 3) Connect XCS to GND with a clip wire 4) Connect USB to PC using a USB cable with switch in the data lines 5) Push PWR/PAUSE -> "NO_FLASH" disk will appear 6) Remowe clip wire from XCS-GND 7) Copy VS1000_B.RUN to the NO_FLASH disk 8) Copy 8M-V2.IMG to the NO_FLASH disk 9) turn the data lines switch on the USB cable to cut off USB data lines 10) verify that there is humming sound from the headphones 11) Turn on the USB data lines switch 12) Completely power-off the board 13) Power on the board 14) The board will come up as both an audio device and a nonformatted USB disk 15) Format the disk (FAT) 16) Copy some ogg files to the disk 17) Eject the USB disk (Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon...) 18) Detach USB. Enjoy Music. If you want to replace the TinyPlayer's music player code, save your own code as "tinyuser.c" and compile it using vskit1.34 to tinyuser.prg, and: 19) Power down the device and then connect it to USB. 20) The flash with the .ogg files appears 21) copy the tinyuser.prg (the new user interface) file to the disk 22) "Safely Remove Hardware" 23) Power down and up the device 24) Your code runs when you power up the device without USB.
