VSIDE 2.43 containing templates for VS1005g VSOS 3.50 has been released. VSOS 3.50 and its accompanying system root files provide many new features like ROM-independent executable compatibility.
A new board, VS1005 Dev. Board Extension 1 v1.0 has been released. This board, which rides on top of the VS1005 Developer Board, contains a 1.77 LCD, a rotary controller, a VS23S040 S-RAM / Video Display Controller, and an I2S ADC. At the same time VLSI releases a HiRes Recorder application to the board that can record at up to 96 kHz 24-bit PCM WAV files to an SD card.
The new patch set adds experimental DSD decoding, and contains an encoding mode stability fix.

A new firmware option, SPI Recorder 0.60, has been released for the VS1103 Modules VSMD301 and VSMD321. The SPI Recorder enables recording and playback of 8 kHz mono IMA ADPCM WAV files to the modules' internal 2 or 16 MiB SPI memory. |
