The VS1010 Voice Recorder is an example implementation of a Voice / MP3 Playback and Voice Recorder, running on the VS1010 Developer Board. It has three modes: Voice Playback, MP3 Playback, and Voice Recording. Voice recording is done at 8 or 16 kHz IMA ADPCM bit a bitrate of 32.5 or 65 kbit/s, respectively. An 8 GB SD card can hold over 11 days of voice recordings made at 16 kHz. Hi-Speed USB can be used to transfer audio files to / from the SD card.
The new VS1010 Intercom Demo shows how to connect several VS1010's together through UART to create a internal telephone / intercom / door phone system. With a RS-485 transport several connections at a time can be implemented. Please contact VLSI for more information!
This is the first public release of VS1063a UartStreaming, which makes it easy to create a point-to-point audio link using a UART connection. It allows VS1063 to encode audio data into e.g. MP3 format, then stream it through UART to a receiver. The receiver may be either another VS1063 or a VS1053 for any audio encoding, or a VS1103 if IMA ADPCM is used.
VLSI Solution is proud to present a new addition to its extensive decoder family: Monkey's Audio / Ape. The new decoder can decode lossless .APE files up to 48 kHz stereo on a standard VS1005 setup. The new decoder adds to VS1005's extensive audio decoder collection that includes WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, DSD, MP3, Ogg, WMA, and AAC-LC.
The new patch set offers CRC checks when decoding FLAC files.
VLSI Solution's Integrated software Development Environment VSIDE has been updated to v2.46. Libraries and .h files have had updates and additions for all VLSI Solution's ICs. It is highly recommended to upgrade to this new improved release, particularly if you are building VS1010 or VS1005 projects.
The VS1005 operating system VSOS v3.57 has been released. This new release has several long-awaited tweaks over v3.50, like being able to seek and write to random locations in a file, making it possible to update things like file headers after the fact. The new VSOS release is accompanied by a new package of Root Images and Libraries, and as always, with source code. |
