The new release of VSIDE adds, amongst many other things, support for the VS8053, VS1053 and VS1063 Developer Board which will be released soon. Also C-level interrupt support and new solution templates have been added.

The main change with respect to the old version is in the power supplies. The new version has less power nets but better PCB layout. New PCB upgrades the system for better performance.

The main changes to the VS1005 VSOS Loopback Test application and its documentation are the line nput measurements, which have been redone for better accuracy.

A new VS1005 VSOS application, Loopback Test, has been released. This program, along with its documentation, shows how to measure a VS1005 developer board analog audio performance, and presents example figures from a randomly chosen developer board.

Highlight figures in the document are the 104.6 dB(A) output and 94 dB(A) input dynamic range.

As a new feature, the VS1000 Audio Module firmware v0.60 now also has WAV PCM decoding in addition to Ogg Vorbis decoding. The UART- or GPIO-controlled firmware is available as a VSIDE Solution.
