VS1000 Audio Guide is an audio guide implemented with the VS1000 integrated circuit. The guide plays Ogg Vorbis audio files from 8kHz to 44.1kHz.

The Audio Guide is powered by one AAA battery and switched on by inserting the headphone plug to the headphone connector.

The Audio Guide default firmware contains 5 capacitive buttons to control the player functions. The default application provides pause/play, volume, next/prev, and book/language select. The keys can also be operated through thin adhesive plastic or paper sheets.

The firmware and content can be (re)programmed with the VS1000 PCflash tool.
