Business modelASICASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) are tailored integrated circuits that are done for a single customer who specifies the device but also pays the NRE. Our clients are typically end product manufactures, meaning that ASIC is component of their end product. The reason to make an ASIC is typically protection of the intellectual property, cost savings, and securing the supply chain over the life time of the end product. Our role is to be the design house in the development phase of the project and the circuit supplier in the production phase of the product. ASICs do not use our sales organization. Customer or customer's contract manufacturer is directly communicating with our headquarters for POs and shipments. These devices are often more generic than ASICs since they are designed for multiple applications and client names are often not yet known during the design phase of the project. Since NRE is paid by us, customers can not directly affect the product specifications. ASSPs are offered to worldwide market by using our sales and support organization. We have noticed that many new innovations come out by combining more than one technology. We have developed some completely new end products for home audio by combining the power of digital signal processing, acoustics modeling and the sensor technology to overcome the limitations of speakers and headphones in real listening conditions. We are looking for OEM companies to license our ready made end products. These system solutions, such as Anti-Mode 8033, require one or more of our integrated circuit products. Read more >> |
